Taavi Päll

Taavi Päll received his PhD in Gene Technology from Tallinn University of Technology in 2013 where he studied tumor angiogenesis. His current research includes metagenomic analysis of microbial and virus communities and meta-research of inferential quality in the field of differential expression analysis. Taavi has the expertise in analysing metagenomic datasets, SARS-CoV-2 raw sequencing data, he has created multiple bioinformatic workflows. He is proficient in R, Python programming languages and has contributed to Snakemake and ena-upload-cli. Taavi has been teaching Cancer Molecular Biology course, data analysis and Bayesian statistics courses. Taavi hobbies involve various cycling related activities, like MTB, gravel riding and bikepacking.
